Which currency will my account and orders use?
Choose GBP, USD or NGN before adding items to your cart, and check Account currency when you register. A new account created with a cart uses that cart's currency. Changing your country does not override a currency already selected for the cart. For an existing account, checkout uses that account's currency. The website's displayed-price selector does not change an existing account or convert its invoices, and changing it after adding items does not automatically change those cart items.
Before you add items
- Use the currency selector in the website header to choose GBP, USD or NGN. Location may suggest a starting choice, so check the displayed currency yourself.
- Choose before adding a hosting plan or domain. The selector changes displayed prices and your browsing preference; it does not automatically convert selections already in the cart.
- If you have already added items and the cart or registration form shows a currency you did not intend, pause before creating the account or order. Ask us to help you check the selection rather than assuming another header change has converted it.
When creating a new account
- The registration form shows Account currency. When a cart selection supplies the currency, that field follows it and cannot be changed independently on the form. An unfinished selection can also set this currency, even before an item has been added. If the field is editable, choose your currency there before creating your account.
- Check your country separately. Country describes your account details; it does not override the currency chosen for a cart.
- Review the currency and amount again at checkout. Do not continue with a different currency on the assumption that payment will correct it.
When you already have an account
- Once you sign in, the order is priced in the selected client account's currency. This may differ from the currency you were viewing as a guest. If you have access to several client accounts, check the account selector too.
- Changing the website's price-display preference does not change your account currency, an existing invoice, or the currency of a payment already made. There is no self-service account-currency change in the client portal.
- If the account currency seems wrong, open Support, choose New Ticket and select Billing/Payments. Tell us the currency you expected and any affected invoice number. We will review the account before advising what can be changed.
Before paying
- Read the invoice currency and final amount, including any fee shown for the chosen payment method. An earlier displayed price is not confirmation of the final invoice amount.
- If you have already paid and the result is unclear, keep the existing invoice and ask Billing/Payments to confirm it. Do not make another payment to correct a currency concern. If you start a chat, it can explain these steps but cannot confirm private invoice or payment status.
