What should I do if my Paystack payment fails?

If a Paystack payment fails, first confirm whether your bank debited you. If you were not debited, you can safely try the payment again from the invoice page.

Checklist

  • Check your banking app or card statement for a debit.
  • If there was no debit, retry the payment from the invoice.
  • If there was a debit but the invoice still shows unpaid, do not pay again immediately.

Escalate with proof

  • Open a support ticket with the invoice number, payment time, amount, and a payment screenshot.
  • Hide card numbers, OTPs, PINs, and sensitive bank details before uploading screenshots.
