How do I log in to cPanel?
Sign in at www.vastgig.com/account, choose Services, open your hosting service, select Access & billing, then choose Open control panel. For a hosting service that uses cPanel, this is the cPanel sign-in button.
Open cPanel from your dashboard
- 1. Sign in to your Vastgig account at www.vastgig.com/account.
- 2. Choose Services. On a phone, Services is in the navigation bar at the bottom.
- 3. Select the hosting service for the website you want to manage. Check its domain name, especially if you have several services.
- 4. Select the Access & billing tab. The service opens on Overview first, so the cPanel button is not on the initial tab.
- 5. Under Access & usage, choose Open control panel. Follow any confirmation shown to open the hosting panel.
Why is it called Open control panel?
- Vastgig supports more than one type of hosting service. The button opens the panel assigned to the selected service. On a cPanel hosting service, it opens cPanel. A VPS may show Open VPS control panel instead; that is a different management panel.
- Use Services to manage website files, databases and hosting email. The Domains section manages domain registration and nameservers; it is not the cPanel login page.
If you cannot find the button
- Check the account selector near the top of the page. If you can access several client accounts, select the account that owns the hosting service.
- In Services, choose All if an Active filter hides the service. Check the service status, and open the hosting package rather than a domain registration or VPS.
- The control-panel action depends on the service, its status and your account permissions. If it is unavailable, contact Tech/Server support rather than assuming a password reset will fix it.
If the panel does not open
- Read the message shown in the dashboard. Check whether your browser blocked a new window or tab after you used the button.
- If access still fails, open Support, choose New Ticket and select Tech/Server. Include your hosting domain, the service name, the time of the attempt and the exact error or a screenshot.
- If you already have a ticket for this issue, reply to that ticket instead of opening another one. Never include passwords, sign-in codes or a complete secure-login URL.
Using a direct cPanel address
- If your hosting welcome email provides a direct control-panel address, you can use that address with your hosting credentials. Your Vastgig dashboard sign-in and hosting credentials are different.
- Do not assume cpanel.yourdomain.com works for every service. Use the address supplied for your hosting account or ask Tech/Server to confirm it. Do not bypass a browser certificate warning.
