How do I pay an invoice by bank transfer?
Sign in to your account, open Billing, select the unpaid invoice and choose Pay invoice. Under Payment method, choose BANK (UK) or BANK (NG) from the choices shown for that invoice, then use its Bank instructions and invoice reference to make the transfer through your bank. Confirm bank transfer selects the bank-transfer method; it does not send money or mark the invoice paid. After transferring, check the existing invoice and send us payment proof for review.
Open the correct invoice and instructions
- Open Billing and find the invoice you intend to pay. Check the selected client account, invoice number, charges, currency and outstanding balance. If it already says Paid, do not pay it again.
- Choose Pay invoice. On the payment page, read Total due and Payment processing fee, then find Payment method. The bank-transfer choices use the names BANK (UK) and BANK (NG). Use the method offered for the invoice, rather than bank details copied from an old receipt or message.
- Select the bank method. Read Bank instructions for the destination and payment instructions. If the button says Review updated total, choose it and check the refreshed amount before continuing. A change of method can change the total shown.
- If the bank choice is missing or its instructions are blank, stop and ask Billing/Payments to check the invoice. Do not guess the destination or convert and send another currency yourself.
- Choose Confirm bank transfer to confirm that method for the invoice. The message Bank transfer selected. Use the instructions shown with your invoice reference. confirms the selection. You still need to make the transfer separately through your bank.
Make the transfer and send proof
- In your bank's app or banking service, use the current Bank instructions from this invoice payment page. Check the recipient, amount, currency and invoice reference before authorising the transfer. Use these instructions each time, rather than relying on old bank details.
- Keep the transfer receipt and payment reference. If the banking result is pending or unclear, check that existing transfer with your bank before sending another one.
- Use Back to Invoice to return to the invoice. Read its status and Payment activity. A bank debit, receipt or method-selection message is not confirmation that the invoice has been settled.
- To send proof, open Support → New Ticket, choose Billing/Payments, enter a clear Subject and Message, and add the receipt under Attachments. Include the invoice number, amount, currency, transfer date and payment reference, then choose Open ticket. If you already have a ticket about the payment, add the proof there and choose Send reply.
- Read our payment-proof guide for attachment limits and the signed-in chat route. Hide unrelated financial information, but keep the payment details needed to identify the transfer readable. Never send passwords, PINs, one-time codes or banking-login details.
Check whether the payment has been credited
- Return to Billing, open the same invoice and check its actual status. Sending a receipt or opening a ticket does not mark it Paid or guarantee immediate service activation.
- If money left your bank but the invoice remains unpaid, reply to the payment ticket with the transfer details. Ask us to confirm the result before paying again or creating another order. Keep the existing invoice and ticket while we check it.
- A paid invoice and a completed domain registration, transfer or service activation are separate checks. After the payment is confirmed, check the relevant record under Domains or Services. For a pending transfer, our transfer-status steps explain what to send the Domain team.
